Thank you for checking out the about section, it's nice to know you've taken an interest on this blog. I"ll take this opportunity to mention what I am not. I am not a pessimist, although the title of this blog hints otherwise, its purpose is to welcome failure in a positive way. For many years I thought the ultimate goal was to try my hardest to not fail at anything. Well I can tell you through years of experience and re-evaluation that failure is a problem of perspective and I have re-wired my brain to not be afraid of it. In failure, mistakes and even embarrassing moments we grow to discover how capable and unbreakable the human spirit can be. This blog might sometimes by funny by accident but it is born from a selfish desire to try and understand my self, to continue to grow and hopefully be a better person.
Here is a list of other things I am not:
I am not perfect
I am not all knowing
I am not a great writer (yet)
I am not a great friend
I am not a great girlfriend
I am not a great daughter
I am not a great sister
I am not most if not all virtues
I am basically a work in progress in ALL aspects of my life, and that's incredibly MOTIVATING to
me. Which means, and I'm sorry if this turns you off, I am one of those really positive people.
I AM A POSITIVE PERSON. If there are awards for being positive- I know I would win.
It's because I am positive that this blog exists, and it is because I am positive that some stories may appear funny and it is because I am positive that I know for a fact there is something to take away from any situation including this post!
I'm a big fan of quotes, so here is a good one from Scott Adams creator of Dilbert:
"And always remember that failure is your friend. It is the raw material of success. Invite it in. Learn from it. And don't let it leave until you pick its pocket"
Oh and my name is Claudia.
Let's get started shall we?
